About Me

I am having a very hard time with the upcoming procedure, I am so frightened. Has anyone had TAVR and would you be willing to tell me your story. I am a 60 year old female and my surgeon is willing to perform TAVR or open heart surgery but is leaving the decision up to me. My cardiologist prefers I go with the open heart surgery because it has a longer life but I am not sure I can handle it at this time for numerous reasons. The surgeon came highly recommended by two other doctors however, I was not very comfortable with him and that is making the whole process very hard for me. Many people say if he is good at what he does that is all that matters but I am so uncomfortable. Looking for the opinion of others that have felt as I do. I am literally making myself so sick with worry. All responses appreciated. Thanks <3
