About Me (In My Own Words)
At the age of 26, having my first son, the doctor mentioned I had a heart murmur. Nothing more was said until about 5 years ago. It had gotten quite loud and I was suffering shortness of breath as well as being very tired, all the time. My family doctor sent me for yearly echo cardiograms. In the fall of 2016, I was sent to the cardiologist who sent me for an angiogram. The doctor there said we didn't need to do the test, we could tell by listening, you need your aortic valve replaced. So I received surgery date for Nov. 15/16.
