Diagnosed at Junior high athletic physicals, sent to cardiologist Dr. Eddy. Mom remembers he told her "I would get by": 1969 or 70?
Could not run in HS track: stomach burn, fatigue.
Finished all swimming requirements in college but instructor would not give me a Red Cross certification: she said it seemed I just was not strong enough.
