About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve and aortic insufficiency (regurgitation) when I was 20 years old, and had my aortic valve replaced with a bovine tissue valve, almost exactly 11 years ago.
I've recently found out that my valve has started to go bad and that I have severe aortic stenosis, so I'll be undergoing open heart surgery again and having it replaced for a 2nd time in about three weeks from now.
