About Me (In My Own Words)
I am a 52 year old women that was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve at birth. I developed an ascending aortic aneurysm about age 35. The cardiologist has been monitoring the heart through ultrasounds and CT scans for years. My valve is diameter is currently 1.1 cm. I have been given the option to lead a more sedentary life style or have a valve replacement. I am most likely going to have the Heart Valve replacement with the aneurysm fixed as well.
