About Me

I have lived with cardiomyopathy since 1998. Currently I am on my fourth ICD (CRT-D) and over the years have received 4 shocks. In November 2021 an echo found "severe" tricuspid regurgitation. Since then I have had a heart cauterization, a transesophageal echo (TEE) and just last week had a two our regular echo. I am under consideration for the Triluminate valve repair trial. I think I will know my status by the end of May. Anyone here enrolled in the trial? update; none of the current U.S. tricuspid trials want me because I have two ICD leads that pass through my tricuspid valve. A chinese trial may be able to accommodate the leads but so far the trial is only in Europe. Time will tell.
