About Me (In My Own Words)
I am a 53 year old female and I had a bicuspid aorta valve which was replaced with a St Judes mechanical valve three years ago. Recently I developed a clot on the valve which I had Thrombolysis treatment for. This was partially sucessful but not totally so I am having a re-operation to replace the aorta valve again.
I also have been a type 1 diabetic for 49years to add to the challange
I am very keen to hear from anyone else that has had this done
