Aortic stenosis diagnosed March 2014 which generated the tests and referrals to other specialists you will all be, or become, familiar with: cardiologist for echocardiogram, followed by a stress test and referral for cardiac catherization, then on to a cardiovascular surgeon. A lot happened in three and a half months, surgery was scheduled at Fairfax Inova Heart and Vascular Institute, with Dr. Alan Speir who successfully my aortic valve on July 14, 2014. A great surgeon and a great hospital.
