About Me

Diagnosis = Ascending Aortic aneurysm with mild regurgitation. Bicuspid aortic valve. Age 40 Began experiencing upper left chest pain including radiating into left arm and left side of neck/jaw in November 2017. EKG, stress test normal and found aneurism with echo in December 2017. 4.5-4.6 cm. Have controlled pain/ discomfort with meds but the pain has never subsided completely. Cath done February 2019 and coronary were clear. Decided to follow up in June for updated CT. No real changes were noted but did note that natural arch and descending aorta were narrow at 2.2 cm. Follow up in September with Echo noted 4.8 cm confirmed measurements and decided on surgical plan. Surgery date 11/8/18. Valve replacement and aneurysm repair with root replacement.
