About Me

I was diagnosed with severe aortic valve stenosis in February 2022. I underwent AVR ( Bovine) in March 2022. After surgery the doctor informed me that I was born with a bicuspid valve. I have recovered well. I completed cardiac rehab. My echo is good and I have not encountered any issues. I am going to talk to my cardiologist about weaning off the Metoprolol. He had told me previously that it should not be a problem when I am ready. Due to increasing depression and fatigue, I am ready to wean off. I have never had hypertension. The only other med I take is a 81mg aspirin daily. I am always been active running, walking and working out at the gym. Fortunately, I have been able to return to my routine without issues, for which I am thankful.
