About Me

Hi everyone, I am 34 years old and I was recently diagnosed with severe mitral regurgitation. I've had a TEE done and I'm meeting with a surgeon next week. I have no symptoms other than a slight discomfort in my chest at the moment and this has all been a big surprise for me. There is never a good time to get this kind of news, but my wife also happens to be 7 months pregnant, so you can imagine times are a little stressful. I came across this site in my endless search for information to calm my nerves and fear and found the posts here very reassuring knowing there are others out there going through similar experiences. I hope to reach out to some of you and gain some insight and hope for the future. Thanks!
