About Me

In 2007 I was diagnosed with mild aortic stenosis due to a congenital bicuspid aortic valve. At that time, my aortic valve measured 1.7 cm. Last May, my annual echo showed progression to moderate stenosis with a valve area of 1.3 cm. I am 54, healthy, with no other health related issues. Eventually, I will need to have my aortic valve replaced. I have already chosen a tissue valve with hopes that any future operations will be done with TAVR.
