Hi, I'm a 47 year old male who has been followed his whole life with congenital aortic stenosis. I have been observed by Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas for roughly 35 years. I am still asymptomatic and able to do much of what I want including hiking and snowboarding although have always been limited in my cardiovascular performance (i.e. you won't see me running marathons or swimming laps ;-D ) But my numbers over the past two years (from echo's and MRI's) have been getting worse and I am now looking to have surgery to correct my issue.
