About Me

After many years of irregular heart rate and episodes of tachycardia, my mitral valve prolapse was diagnosed as "severe" last May and A-Fib set in almost immediately. I'm a healthy and fit 80 year old and now find that my exercise is more limited by breathlessness. I'm very pleased that Dr. Marc Gillinov at Cleveland Clinic has accepted my case and will perform the repair of my mitral and tricuspid valves and do a MAZE procedure to cure (hopefully) my A-Fib on Dec. 13. Waiting for open heart surgery is SO hard, but I'm looking forward to better health in 2018.
