Atom's Profile

Atom is 22 he was born with a vsd & it was later observed he had a avd as well. At 15 he had bactrial endocardias (sp) the germ damaged all his valves. He had open heart surgery @ 15.6 yr and everything was repaired successfully. @ 17 he started having a slight regur of the aortic valve. It has continued to get worst until until chest pain & racing heart beats lead us to where he is tonight. He has an appt with a thoracic surgeon on the morrow. The conclusion of a TEE scan is severe aortic regur, probable non cooperation of the right coronary cusp. The good news is the repair of the VSD & AVD has held up very well. ~by Mom~
