About Me (In My Own Words)
A strange sinus pain prompted my wife to insist on an evening visit to the Walgreens clinic where the nurse made an off-hand comment, "Bit of a heart murmur huh?"
"No, no one has ever told me that."
She listened again and said, "Well, you do now."
My primary doctor confirmed the same a few days later, sent me to a cardiologists . . . five months later I am on my way to surgery.
Now I face the decisions: Who? How? Where? When?
No offense to those who had no choice, but I want to avoid open-heart if I can. The robotic advancements have me intrigued. My ultimate goal, beyond living long for my family, of course, is to keep working out and stay in shape after this. So, I'm not afraid of open-heart if I become convinced that's the best path to take.

P.S. Oh, and the sinus pain? Turned out to be nothing but perhaps a message from a loving God to get someone to listen to my heart. We'll thank Him for watching over us as we always do no matter the circumstance.
