Sue Lambkin @Joyce Jent...the picture below describes Aortic Stenosis, in my case it was severe. I also found one of the best ..pillows, surround chest/back with straps so I was hands free, gave me a lot of confidence to protect my heart yet keep on ticking. Thank you for your kind words. Wishing you well. I am doing great. ❤️

Sue Lambkin @Susan P., awww, that's the ticket, to hear from someone 1 year after surgery and doing good. It just shows we are entitled to any apprehensive moments before hand but hope and trust in our surgeons is just a bonus. So happy you are doing well. ❤️Sue

Sue Lambkin @Nancy Best, I hear you, I cannot imagine life as we know it without the medical knowledge available now, and the comfort we receive after. I know the uncertainties and the blessings afterwards, thankful that all went well in my case. You had yours 6 months before me and I do feel good. Hoping you are doing well. ❤️Sue

I had open heart surgery in May for my bicuspid Aortic valve and to rid my enlarged ascending vessel “aneurysms“. I just turned 63. I have one son in his early 30s it was difficult for him. He was there for me as they were taking me back and he was there for me once I reached recovery awoken. My husband was beside me prior. I’m grateful my boy Did that much praise God he is young and single so it’s a lot On him. This is my second marriage it’s not like my son could come with his father… God bless you and your recovery and blessings with you to come home in a month taking care of your husband both of you were in my prayers I wish you a blessed holiday. Someone took my picture but my eyes were open. Thanks for letting us be a part I have your journey like Adam always says “keep on ticking”
Much love and blessings to you and yours unlike you I’d be lost without Adam and his book!
Sue, praying for a very successful surgery for you! You got this!

We moved to Kitchener from Mississauga 4 1/2 years now. Who knew that I'd need St.Mary's so soon. You will be in good hands. I found out about the procedure I had on this site. Dr.Ashe at SMGH has experience with it and he is very good at explaining. Von who organizes things is super as well. Lots of help and good posts here.

Sue Lambkin @DarrellMalone, thank you for this nice response. My surgeon is Dr. Higgins and Von is my contact, love her. You seemed to have recovered nicely, which is just a bonus. I moved from Scarborough Ont in my teens to Kitchener, Ontario. Both my kids were born at St Mary's over 55 years ago. I am not too worried about recovery, just apprehensive about surgery. I know I will not know anything while they are operating, but right now I do. I am sure, just nerves. Imagine, using the same heart office. Thank you for such kind words.❤️Sue
