Hi Miriam ,
It was during the start of covid / lockdown , so no cardiac rehab classes were run . They would usually have run for a few weeks .
I made friends with two lovely people on the ward and we used to compare notes as to how we were getting on . Texted / WhatsApp to gee one another up . I hope you are doing okay , you sound to be well . Your son will enjoy walking with you

Timothy Andre Miriam, I am having the same challenge now. It started a couple days ago. Today my heart rate was above 135 for a few hours before some medication helped bring it down. It's a bit scary to be sitting in bed and having a heart rate that says I'm doing cardio. Hopefully it will work itself out soon. Good luck to you

Miriam Alejos It is definitely scary ! I was put on metoprolol and they had to lower the dose due to some side effects I couldn't tolerate. Nausea and dizziness was too much for me. I'm trying the lower dose for a week and hopefully it helps. If not they will try a different med. Wishing you the best and I hope this gets better for both of us soon.

Timothy Andre I guess it's comforting knowing that this is fairly common. I am taking carvedilol and had to increase from 25mg to 50mg when an episode happens. It's working for me. For now I am ok and will monitor further. It helps knowing that I have a plan if it continues to happen. I'll be praying for you Miriam.

Hi Miriam - I had my MV regurgitation surgery last Tuesday and I see your day is coming up. I know how the days just before surgery feel, but look to the future and keep images of your wonderful family in mind and you will get through it just fine. My gosh, your son will be the perfect walking partner for you! I am just 10 days out from surgery and I have almost no pain and I'm walking 20 minutes a day. You will do all of that and more by 2 weeks from now! God will watch over you and protect you.
