Mark, your an amazing man. What a great thing your doing and I am very confident you will rock! Its wonderful to hear that you are up to six miles that's incredible to me. I wish I could run just 2. Talk soon and Blessings to you and the family dear brother.
I am very glad your still being cautious. The way your doing it is very wise and full recovery is around the corner. Your doing great Mark - keep it up as we continue to pray for your full recovery. Talk soon
I am 6 weeks post op and I want to add that the worst part of the entire surgery if I had to choose only one was the removal of the chest tubes.I didn't know I would have them let alone realize they would have to be removed. With my anxiety it was probably a good thing I didnt know in advance. It was horrid!
Mark, glad your recovery is going well, keep up the walking and take naps when you need to. Good for you for getting off the pain medication, but don't be afraid to take tylenol or ibuprofen if you need it, the aches and pains come and go. Each week gets better!
Mark, please be cautious on the meds if not needed, once I was an EMT and the folks in the greatest distress were on meds. The human body and Gods Prayers are incredible and unexplainable. Our bodies with nature can withstand more than we can imagine with power of Prayer and Belief. I am with you - love you Dear Brother - go with your internal feelings :)
Mark, please remember to take it easy ya mad man you. Our spirit works faster than our bodies. Take it easy dear friend - plenty of time to heal properly and on schedule. There is no rush! Relax and enjoy your day - say hi to the family. Happy 4th of July
Mark, I have been out of the hospital for about two and half months so far. Loved seeing your photos. I think it is important for HJV folk to post pics. It is good visual information of what you are about to go through as words simply do not always tell the whole story. Helps to prepare one for the big day and the days after. See that you have some faith behind you. Good for you. For me my faith is what calmed me and helped in my healing. healing of different types. one for the body, one for the soul. Stay positive, keep the faith. In a month or so you'll be out doing more and more things. Just takes a bit of time.
So happy you are home-good for you! I love the scripture you posted in Proverbs. Trusting in God (and having such committed prayer warriors) is the only way I could go into this surgery.
BTW: your incision looks great!
Continued healing and blessings to you!
I spoke with the guys this sunday after the service from my Tuesday night Bible study and they have actually been following your journey. They have all been holding you and your family up in prayer. How is Noah doing through this whole ordeal? Tell him hello for me. When will you be up for visitors? would like to come and see you when you're up to it.
We are enjoying these updates and praying for you. The Proverbs verse made us chuckle. 'Trust God with your heart'. We miss you all and love you very much. Please keep the updates coming as you recover. Even though you are out we like to read about how you are doing. One step closer to Vegas every day!!! - Love -Amy & Rodger
Hi Mark, Glad you are doing real good, keep up the good work.
Yes we do have to say lots of prayers for everyone in the Colo Springs area. I am from Denver and it is really huring my heart to see all of my old stomping grounds go up in smoke. You can go onto www.Fox31KDVR.com. They have a lot of photos posted of the area. Its so sad. I have a cousin in Denver that said they have already experienced some flash floods.
Hey Mark. I am no doctor but I will pretend to be Doogie Houser No jogging allowed for a while..Just go slow but steady and in no time you can jog again. Disneyland sounds good for real. Keep up the good work.
For the long haul
Hi Mark Chicken is good. Better than fried heart valves and possum, that they supposedly serve in NYC from Selmas journal. Keep up the good work and you will be sprung out soon.
For the long haul

Well thats all wonderful news and it goes to show the power of Prayer especially in numbers is the most effective tool for healing and everything for that matter. I am very happy for you both. The rest should be smooth sailing. :)
