Hi Maria ,
I had a severely leaking mitral valve and was eventually admitted as an emergency . I have a st.Jude’s mitral valve .
I am sorry that you found your surgery to be traumatic . Open heart surgery is a huge life event . Time does heal and although it is still early days post op for you , in time you will start to feel physically and emotionally better than you do right now . Be kind to yourself and take things one day at a time .
