Your journal caught my eye because my aunt's name is also Linda Johnson :) Guess I was meant to stop here and tell you that I'll be praying for you to have smooth sailing for the rest of your journey! Enough is enough!

Congrats on your one year post heart surgery. But, sorry to hear about the other health complications. Hang in there. Looks like you hit a stretch of bumpy road traveling down this highway of life.

Hi there. I saw my cardiologist at 6 weeks post op and am not scheduled again until August (about 6 months). But my GP and my cardiologist work together on my case. So my GP sends him my labs, etc. Also, both my GP and cardiologist take emails so I send both of them routine updates on my blood pressure/pulse since I have a bit of high blood pressure. Hope that helps! Sherry Bradford Aortic Valve Replacement & Ascending Aortic Aneurism repair 10/23/2012
Hi Linda, Glad to see you are doing pretty good for just 4 weeks. Well what can I say we Linda's are strong, I think. Let you know pretty soon lol. I have managed to go thru all those nasty tests the CT being the worse one, but that is the one that got me a date very soon. Keep doing the good work.
Mooving on up
SO glad you are on the mend, dear Linda!! May the kind words of friends and family make you know how much you are loved!! (Because you know you are!) God's healing hands upon you for a speedy recovery!
Hi, Linda. It is so good to read that you are through the surgery successfully. You are so blessed with your wonderful husband, your son, daughter in law, and the two charming grandchildren. I know you are much loved, and that is the most important thing.
Larry and I send our love and prayers for your continued recovery. It sounds like you are getting the best medical care. All the best,
Great news that you are home Linda. One day at a time and you will get there. I'll be caring for my mom in a few months as she is having the same procedure. I hope to hear from you again and that you are getting stronger day by day. Take care and thinking about you and sending well wishes. Sarah (in Calgary, Canada)
Hi Linda, Sending you well wishes for your recovery. I am following your journal to help me prepare for my mom's forthcoming valve replacement surgery. It is great to find a place where people can support one another. Hope you will be on here soon. Best wishes. Sarah x
Hi, Linda --
What's with all the Lindas? If your name is Linda are you pre-disposed to heart issues? :-) Well, it's great to have you here. I am waving from the other side of the mountain and can tell you -- you CAN do this. I'm over 2 months out and truly, it's hard to remember those first few days. It sounds like you have a wonderful husband who will be by your side, and remember, we're all here, too.
I'll be thinking of you.
Hi Linda, You are quite a lady and so strong. but as Linda Dixon told me and now I will tell you. You can do this cause your name is Linda. We all stand together. I will be thinking and praying for you this week. Good luck to you. Im glad to found this site. It is so wonderful. I have made so many friends here, it truly does help. You know we all will be here for you and welcome to HVJ. Gods speed.
Welcome to HVJ! You certainly have had many challenges to overcome! What a strong woman you are! My OHS was less than two weeks ago, and I too, have had other surgeries, my last being knee replacement in Feb of this year. I can tell you the OHS was way easier than the knee! I know you have this! With your strength, this will almost be a "cake walk". Of course, it is still a very serious surgery.....but "serious" seems to be your speciality! I will be praying for you & looking forward to your updates....
Hi Linda, welcome to HVJ! This is going to be a breeze for you. I had AVR in March and it was nothing like I had expected. Much easier than I had prepared for. You are obviously a very strong woman, this will be just a tiny blimp on your "radar screen". It is, of course, big surgery, but entirely manageable. Take care and welcome to our HVJ family!
Linda Dixon, AVR 3/13/12
Welcome to the heart valve journals! You have been through so much, but I truly admire your positive attitude. I can tell that you are very grateful woman, and I know you will do fine with your surgery. And yes, you will feel better after you get fixed! After what you've been through, the heart surgery will be a piece of cake. It really isn't as bad as you are imagining......the waiting and worrying are far worse than the pain and discomfort.
If you have any questions, this is the place to ask, because we've all been through it, and we've all had a different experience.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers next week. God Bless and stay strong!
