Lynda Ruiz Mine used to break regularly but since surgery they are growing long & strong. Figure it's because I'm not cleaning & cooking.
Marie Myers Mine also grew well and stayed nice with no laundry, cooking , and hand sanitizer at work.

Rita Savelis It's like nothing you've ever experienced. And then you get over it slowly, and move on, taking each day at a time. I wasn't in pain, just incredibly uncomfortable and exhausted, exhausted, exhausted.
There is a before surgery and an after surgery and although many strive to quickly get back to what they were before surgery or even a brand new improved version.... instead I think one becomes something different. And that takes adjusting. And patience.

Rita Savelis Yes, I hear you Joan. I also went through a depression after OHS, a common "side effect". It's hard. It's all hard. If you can find a therapist to help you process and talk out what you are going through, and if you can take some antidepression meds or whatever works for you, do it. Be vocal about your needs and what you are going through. After the physical ordeal, the emotional ordeal. You held it together for the physical part, and now you feel the intense effects of what you went through. There is not enough said about depression and how common it is after OHS.
Take care.

Marie Myers For the first few weeks, I could burst out crying just because... I was weak, I Was tired, I was sore, and it was like everything changed in my healthy, carefree life. Then, I slowly started getting stronger, getting out a little, sleeping better, and finally accepting that my life has changed...It is a process of acceptance . Reading others stories, some much more serious than mine, put a new perspective into my life. Prayers to you for healing in every way!
Joan Sleight Thanks. Not alone. Not tired, just fed up and doom and gloom, ugh
