Hi Donald. I also have an ascending aortic aneurysms that measures4.9 and a bicuspid aortic valve that is mildly stenotic and moderately leaking. I am in the watch phase but will meet with a surgeon within the year. I am followed every six months with a echo, mra, or cta. They are watching the rate of growth not just the size. Mine is a fusiform mot like a pocket or balloon shaped. I was told your overall body is taken into consideration for timing as well if you have a connective tissue disorder or had a bicuspid aortic valve. Also if you have a family history of rupture this would indicate earlier intervention rather later. I am restricted to not push, pull, pickup anything over 20 lbs. Blood pressure control is also closely monitored. I hope this helps. I know this an unnerving thing to learn but this website is very helpful and supportive to our fellow heart warriors!
DONALD LEE Thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback
