Desmond, Im sure that was unexpected! Glad you went to the doctor! Wishing you a successful surgery and sending prayers your way. I'm 5 1/2 weeks post surgery to replace my aortic root, valve, and lower section of my aorta. I'm already feeling better. Hang in there and take it day by day!

Hi Desmond - best of luck with tomorrow's surgery. I underwent replacement of my aortic valve and quadruple bypass in December 2023. I had an uneventful surgery - no complications - little pain - and quick recovery - and a much better experience than I had anticipated. Stay positive, listen to your doctor's guidance/advice and don't be afraid to get yourself up and moving.

Best wishes tomorrow. I had valve replacement and two bypasses in September of 2017. I had 12 weeks of rehab and excellent care and surgeon in Louisville. It has made a difference. At almost 82 I’m still trying to stay on the straight and narrow. Sometimes with more success than others.
Patience in recovery and rehab are key.
