welcome to the site. There is a lot of great information here and people who will answer what they can, and encourage you along your journey. I am 3 months post operative mitral valve replacement, and am now doing fine. I was able to have mine done the "minimally invasive" way- that is not down the middle of my chest, and breast bone. My incision is on the right side of my chest. They say the healing time is shorter as you don't have the bone to heal back. To me at 58 yrs old, it has been an ok recovery, and I feel already better as far as energy and breathing. My stamina is still returning. I wish you well, in your search for clarity, and answers. It is an individual journey, but one that many of us have done and with great success! Welcome and feel free to ask any questions of the group. Take good care!
