Waiting is the hardest part, so I would do the surgery, now. Because I had difficulties accepting I needed the surgery and no support from people close to me, I put it off for about ten months. I don't know what your insurance is like, but mine had an out... Read more.
Sorry, haven't checked in for quite a while. I was 4.8 when I had my surgery. It's not going to fix its self. Do it while you have no symptoms, not after you begin to have problems. Just sayin.

Did the mechanical valve you have. Is it one that takes a lower blood thinner than some. I think it is the oxt-xl internet says it is a little quiter. How loud is yours? I have a show in Sioux city the 3rd weekend in March at convention center.
Mine is the On-X. My blood thinner level, "Protime" can be lower than the older mechanical valves. Mine can be loud in the middle of the night if I wake up, it in my head. It doesn't bother anyone else. A show in Sioux City? What kind of show? I'm... Read more.
