We have the same issues here in New Zealand with getting heart scans when it's through the public health system. I had a mitral valve replacement 7 years ago and was due for my echo early 2023 and had to ask my doctor and the hospital several times to get one which I had at the end of 2023 and it took another 6+ months to get the results after much communication on my part with my doctor and the hospital. To get anywhere it takes some effort and continuous asking. They are now not allowing me anymore scans for 5 years. If I want one sooner I will have to pay privately. It's all very frustrating I hope you can get one soon.

What an amazing story. what an accomplishment. I had no idea they replaced heart valves 30 years ago. And metal to boot. You must set off alarms everywhere, and avoid magnets. Sorry to read that in the uk you cannot get an echo. I get one every year in the usa. Time to move here.
