Daniel Kung My legs are fine because of the daily walks. My chest is still healing and sterum area can be painful if I sneeeze hard unexpectly. The very top of the incision is still sensitive and a bit redish and itchy. The remaining 5" incision looks and feels fine now. I need to figure out what kind of warm up exercises I can and should do to start building back up other muscle groups, gradually.

Darlene Smith Connie, I see you are looking for a cardiologist in Central NJ. I didn't care for my cardiologist in Holmdel so I asked Mount Sinai (Dr. Adams) for a referral and he suggested Dr. Iris Mentle in Freehold. I really like her. Very down to earth, takes a lot of time with each patient, answers your questions. But she is a sole practitioner so she runs very very late (one to two hours behind). If you want someone on time, she will not be the one for you. But I totally trust her and she is very good with follow up care and keeping tabs on you.

Mount Saini is a great choice! They took great care of me while I was there. One recommendation I have for you is bring your own plug-in heat pad for sore muscles or burning IVs. Mine helped so much, and they didn't provide heat therapy there.

Briana Morgan I didn't get a private room. I was so out of it, when I wanted to sleep I had no problem sleeping. Make sure you have someone of the same sex who can stay overnight with you if you don't want to be alone. If you are in shared room, a spouse can't stay overnight in a male room. I also found my phone with earbuds handy.

Briana Morgan No one is supposed to stay over. They were much more strict about it the night my husband was there. He was barely allowed to visit that night. The night my mom stayed, the other woman in my room also had a female visitor and we both were ok with each other having a female visitor. The staff were more lenient towards that. This doesn't mean they will allow any same sex visitor to stay overnight though. Visiting hours are 9am to 9pm, sometimes this tends to be stretched to accommodate families.
