Betsy I must say I'm happy to hear that you've made up your mind to do the surgery. I placed my trust in the Almighty GOD when I had repairs done to my mitral valve back in February 2006 which was a success and I'm still much alive to this day September 26 2015. I believe all will be successful so keep your faith and hope alive. Best wishes for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Betsy, right now you are probably recovering from your mitral valve repair. I wish you the best! I had my valve also repaired on 9/11. About 30 hrs later, I was walking in ICU for the first time with the use of a rolling walker. 2 days later I was walking on my own in my regular room. Today 9/25 marks 2 weeks post op Mitral valve repair and walked 3.07 miles without any discomfort. Betsy, you will do well! God Bless you heart sister ❤️

I hope everything goes well with your surgery. Your story kind of sounds like mine. I was at my physical in June and my doctor was listening and listening to my heart and I kept thinking hmmm.... I don't think this looks good. I did have a murmur for many years but he usually just mentions it every year and goes on but this year he recommends an echocardiogram. I have had my heart flutter and such before but I also have an extra electrical pathway so I just figured it was that, not two leaky heart valves. Sorry, I ramble on- I hope you have an easy uneventful surgery and recovery!

Tim Goff Betsey, Wishing you the best this week and look forward to updates when you are on the other side of surgery. I am just about 6 months out from Mitral valve repair, chordae replacement, and a MAZE procedure. The first couple of weeks can be a challenge, but really not as bad as I expected.
