MitraClip Video - Percutaneous Mitral Valve Repair
As we await the FDA's panel discussion and decision on whether or not to approve the use of the MitraClip in the United States, I continue to received many questions about this non-invasive approach to treat mitral regurgitation through a catheter.
Thus far, I've been lucky to watch Dr. Saibal Kar perform a MitraClip procedure at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, California and Dr. Scott Lim perform a similar procedure in Charlottesville, Virginia. Needless to say, the MitraClip appears to be a very impressive technology. That said, I thought you might like to see a video on how it works.
