Your progress sounds fantastic!! I'm really proud of you and all of your work. I know it's hard to pace yourself but don't go too fast. Keep up the great work and I'll still be praying for you and thinking of you.
That's great you are doing so good, sure glad to hear that. The rehab will make you stronger all the time. It is so nice that chapter in your life is history and you are like a new person, now. Are you planning a nice long vacation this summer? You deserve it, I know you have been through a rough ordeal and it's time to relax and enjoy life again. I know it hasn't been easy, but with God's help, your loving family and friends and your strong willpower, you have made it through. Keep up the good work. Ray and I send our love to you and your family.
That is absolutely fantastic news!!! You are so blessed and strong. With God, family and friends you've completed 1 chapter and started a new, healthier, and heart-filled (sorry, I couldn't resist) chapter in your life. I'm proud of you...and of all of your family and friends.
In other news, no I didn't know Ellen Carpenter lives in Texas. Actually, I haven't heard from her since graduation. Is she on facebook? I'd love to catch up with her. That is one thing I've really liked about fb, catching up with friends and classmates.
Thank you for keeping us updated on every step of your journey. I look forward to some day giving you a big hug but in the mean time, xoxox.
Yes I know the feeling !!!!
It is sometimes overwhelming to know that you have made it this far without any serious complications. It just makes you get on your knees and be thankful to God.
I am so happy to hear all the good news!!
It is such an amazing journey we have experienced.
My surgeon only sees patients in the office on Wedensdays.......
Every Tuesday night I think that someone will go into his office the next day and hear the news that they need surgery. It makes me stop and remember all we have been through...and how blessed we are to have been able to get this far!

So happy for you, really glad you are doing so good. I didn't have a doubt but what you would do good, but it is really nice to hear from the Doctor's that everything is looking so good. You are going to feel like a new woman and can really enjoy your summer. Prayers will continue to be with you.
Love, Shirlene and Ray
I am feeling really good these day's...I'm just about 4 months post surgery and I'm really feeling like my old self...I think I pretty much have most of my stamina back and the sternum pressure is pretty much gone....Thanks for asking!!
Yay! Jamie! Great results for a GREAT lady. I considered Dr. Baldwin in Houston for my surgery, but it would have been an issue for insurance. He is a highly regarded surgeon. I am pretty sure that I will do cardiac rehab regardless of what the doctor says, I'm sure my doctors here would order it for me. I am looking at this surgery as another chance to start a new chapter, get out more and in better shape. Rehab can't be bad for you and I feel like it will help "ease my fear" of tearing something up, lol.
Keep up the good work, please do keep me in your prayers and thank you for all of your sweet encouragement.
Hi Jamie, Congrads on your wonderful check
up today ! You looked so great on Sunday I
could tell you are really taking care of your
self ! You have a beautiful "glow" about you now. Way to Go !! Love, Maggie
Amazing update Jamie. I am so happy to hear you continue to do really, really well in your recovery. Cardiac Rehab is really working for you. I am still deciding if I will go to rehab. My cardiologist seems to think it is a waste of time for me, but everyone keeps saying how good it is. I am thinking I will go and see what happens. Worst case I become a cardiac rehab drop out, I doubt I will be the first. Uh oh, will the cardiac rehab police come after me?????
Keep up the good work, great to see your progress.
Jamie, I somehow missed your post yesterday, but happy anniversary sweet lady! So happy you are doing so well and enjoying rehab. I know how you feel about "trusting your heart". I have been told to "not overdo" for so long now, I too will be a little anxious following surgery. I plan to do rehab also. I leave for Cleveland Thursday and will have my surgery on Tuesday the 13th, so please keep me in your prayers.
So glad you are doing so good, just keep doing what you are doing. I went with Ray to rehab and it is real nice to be monitored while you are exercising. The classes are informative, too. It is really hard to eat what you are supposed to eat when you have diabetes and heart trouble, both. Ray says, if it is something good, he isn't supposed to have it. That''s wonderful you have lost weight. I sure would like to loose a few pounds, but I don't seem to have the will power that I once had.
Thanks for the update, we like hearing from you, keep up the good work.
Love, Shirlene and Ray
I am so happy to hear of the great results you are having from the rehab, way to go. Yes indeed we pray for you daily and will continue. We will get together after our trip to England this week end. We will return on March 17th. If it works for you March 24th would be good for us. I will bring the lemon pie. Keep up the the good work and remember you are in our prayers. Blessings, Dorothy
Jamie, you're update is so fantastic!!!! I'm proud of you and your progress. Listen to your body!!!! It will tell you when too much is too much, but try not go that far. You're wonderful, as a person and a friend. I look forward to hearing more about your progress. God bless you and your wonderful family. Love you, Rick Parks.
Its sounds like you are on the right trackk GOD BLESS.....it is a life changer...I am over 6 months now...try to push myself in gardening and yard work....my body tells me when I have reached my limit...KEEP GOING STRONG

Sweet Jamie, when you feel like you can't go any farther...stop...rest. You already climbed that mountain, now you can just cruise back down the other side. You sound wonderful, so happy you are progressing well. And as for your rehab class...bet the guys are happy they have a "hottie" among them now!
Enjoy your weekend with your daughter, let her wait on you a little, even if you don't need her to, lol.
Jamie, love the update! Sounds like you are really doing great. Good to know what my future holds. At three weeks post op, I certainly feel great, but still have limitations and big fatigue. I am not complaining though, I know it is process, and slow and steady wins this race.
All the best for continued success in your recovery.
Hi Jamie, so happy to get the good news that you are doing so good, keep up the good work. You will be all ready for a fun filled summer. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.
Love & Hugs

It's so wonderful to know that you're recovering so beautifully.
Remember me telling you about my sister having a knee replacement the same day as your surgery,
well, I took her out to lunch last Thurs. and then
to Reisbeck's. She's now traveling on her own and
I pray you'll soon be doing the same.
Hi Jamie, I have been thinking about you and thinking I would write you a note, but just haven't done it. So glad to hear from you and to hear you are doing so well. I pray for you every day. Hope you do good in rehab, it will make you stronger every day. Ray has been looking at your heart journal every day to see if there was a message from you, he has been concerned for you, too. He actually saw your last message before I did. We both send our love and best wishes.
Take care and God Bless!!

Happy Valentine's Day sweet Jamie ! So glad
you are getting well. We miss seeing you at
Church but I'm sure we will see your smiling
face soon. Your progress sounds great and you are getting many prayers. God Bless.
Love, Maggie & Ron
Hi Jamie, thanks for the progress report and you are making progresss. You are an encouragement and inspiration to me. Such a sweet heart (no pun intended). Take it as your body allows and don't worry about one pain pill...that's what it's for. I am doing well, decided to go to the doctor about my foot, don't want anything interfering with my big date, so I will go on Wednesday. Hope it is just sprained and not a fracture. Take care and keep us posted.
Getting closer...Linda Dixon
