Hi everyone...
I am a 65 year old male. 5'10" 215 lbs. I had a successful bovine valve/ascending aortic graft on Jan 18 2022 at Kaiser LAMC with Dr. Davel Trividi doing the surgery. My presurgical angiogram showed mild cardio vascular disease. After the surgery I was in 100% heart block. They then implanted a 2 channel pacer. Prior to surgery my EF was 50%. After surgery my EF has returned to 45-50%. Leaving with a diagnosis of HFmrEF and cardiomyopathy. I was eventually prescribed Plavix, Coreg, Entristo, Jardiance, Ecotrin and Crestor. They have me on Jardiance for kidney protection and I have no other signs of HF. I am now experiencing some confounding symptoms. The best way to describe them is shortness of breath kinda while being inactive and when I stand up to walk I get dizzy and feel as if I may black out. Scary. The confounding part is that I walk everyday for at least 45 minutes with out any symptoms. In fact my symptoms get better with walking. I am going in tomorrow for my 6 mo. Pacemaker interogation. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of experience? Other than that everything is good. PS HAPPY NEW YEAR

Marie Myers Have not had that experience, but it is good you are having your pacer checked tomorrow. If it is not working properly, that might explain some of your symptoms. Do you check your blood pressure during these episodes? Might be helpful to know that information.

William Pierle Hi Marie.... Thanks for your response. Because of the various meds my last BP recenty when they checked my pacer was 110/64. So right where they want it. The pacemaker interogation showed no abnormalities. I did learn something. Being 100% paced in my case doesn't mean that the pacemaker is doing all the work. My Sinus node is apparently still working. It's just the pathway from the Si node to the ventricals that was damaged during the surgery... I'm still at a loss and am concerned about the possibility of having new blockage that wasn't there before .....
