A little over three months ago, I had surgery on my aortic valve. Since then, my pulse has been fluctuating while walking and reaches up to 188 beats per minute. I expected it to stabilize, but it hasn't yet. Has anyone had a similar experience, and when can I expect my pulse to stabilize during normal movement on flat ground?

Marie Myers Did the doctor put you on any beta blocker medication? And also, is the rhythm normal and regular or is it irregular? If you haven’t seen your cardiologist, i think you may need an appointment to get these questions answered.

Vlado Pavlović I would like to thank you for your comments and interest in my question, it means a lot to me. At the beginning of April, I have a appointment with the cardiologist. Of course, I will ask him this question because my pulse during the night is around 40 beats per minute, and during moderate activity, it can go up to 188. Based on arrhythmias, my cardiac surgeon prescribed a beta-blocker that I take twice a day, but I don't notice any improvement in terms of heart rhythm.
