Persistent dizziness and “humming” head sensation after bicuspid aortic valve replacement — has anyone experienced this? I’m looking for experiences or insights from others who may have had similar symptoms or from clinicians familiar with this presentation. My husband, Theo (59), had an aortic valve replacement one year ago. His echocardiograms have been normal, but he continues to have: • Constant humming/vibrating sensation in his head (not just in the ears) • Dizziness and imbalance • Afternoon fatigue, especially after meals • Occasional palpitations and PVCs/ectopic beats Cardiac monitoring has shown ectopic beats and some rhythm abnormalities; his cardiologist has mentioned upcoming ablation. He has also seen an ENT specialist, but no clear cause was identified. If anyone has experienced something similar, I’d be grateful to know: • What the underlying cause turned out to be (if found) • Whether it was cardiac, vestibular, neurological, vascular, or musculoskeletal • What tests led to a diagnosis • What treatments, if any, helped We’re only looking for ideas to discuss with his doctors, not a diagnosis.
