My granddaughter had a mechanical mitral valve at 12 weeks old and has been on warfarin since. We became masters in managing her INR - built charts, graphs, Vitamin K tracking and she is always in range (2.5 - 3.5). She will turn 8 in August. Her mother and she lives with us. Now, a decision has to be made by 7/31 on whether to return to school or remote learning. She needs her social interaction and quality teaching but we are so afraid of COVID19 and the viral affects with her warfarin as well as other side affects if she gets afflicted. Just don’t know how to make the decision.
Frank Giovanniello Sherry, don't rush things. No one knows whats really happening.
