I had valve replacement and maze March 2018, I am going through heart pounding, feels like my body is buzzing, it stopped for about 1 1/2 mo. But it’s back, irritating my boyfriend is fine and rhythm is great. Been told it’s anxiety but I wake up with these feelings in morning,during the eve. Daily. I live alone have had 3 surgeries January through June of this year, yes I think I’m stressed, I don’t sleep well, but have been given sleeping aids which help. I’m 68.

Rob Sparling Penney, welcome! Looks like 2019 is starting off with a goal for you to get some resolution (of a different kind!). Noting you are in Alaska, do you have access to an on-call heart nurse wherever they did your procedures so you can talk to somebody? Marie’s advice is good — you need more data on what your heart is doing. Did you do cardiac rehab after your procedures and can that same facility put you in a monitor to help compare current situation to where you were in the past? (But don’t irritate your boyfriend more than necessary. You may need a driver!)
