Kimberly Eisenhut  Pat, I have not had surgery yet, but completely understand the worry about allergic reactions to metals and synthetic materials like latex and silicone, etc. I'm thinking about getting tested by an allergist for these things to have on record with my insurance so if needed Dr can use other options if necessary. I know for myself from hives and the like, what my skin allergies are, but have only been tested for outdoor and animal type allergies which I have many also .  I'd speak to your surgeon about your concerns and ask about what they'd do in the instance of a reaction to any components. Never feel like you're asking too many questions 👍❤️Keep me posted if your Dr has any advise or info.
