I am a nephrologist in NC
I have 3 patients in my practice who have had Ross procedures in their 40s/50s for congenital bicuspid aortic valve.
These 3 unrelated patients have one thing in common. They all developed ANCA small vessel vasculitis (i.e. Wegener's granulomatosis) leading to kidney disease about 6-10 years after the Ross.
I don't know if there is a connection but it would seem more than just coincidence that we have 3 such patients in western NC
wanted to reach out and see if there is anyone with the above phenomenon
Thanks for your time
