This is my first post. My husband had surgery August 10 and is still in the ICU and he had to be put back on the ventilator (this is going on the fourth day). I would like to hear from people that have had extended ICU stay after surgery. I am trying to stay positive!

Mary Barrar Not much communication with the doctor. The right ventricle is sluggish and the lungs are partially collapsed and the creatine levels for the kidney got it 2.6 but have come down. Surgery was Friday and he got off the ventilator for a while but was put back Saturday night and now it is Thursday morning . He had a sustain trial for one hour yesterday and they reduced his meds. Still trying to stay positive.
