My heart valve operation is in a couple of months and I’m interested in pre-habilitation, but not finding a lot of information on it. I’ve seen the interview with Dr. Gerdisch and found a few things on the web like https://cardiacsurgeryplaybook.com/prepare-for-heart-surgery/ But I’m looking for more information and / or programs to help manage exercise, diet, mental preparation and recovery preparation. I’ve gotten some precautions from my surgeon like avoiding strenuous activity, and from my GP like stopping fish oil supplements before the operation. While these are useful. I’m also looking for information like good exercises to do, supplements I should be taking, etc..
