I am 68 and have moderate to severe Aortic Stenosis (calcium score 1852 with 2000 being the threshold for severe stenosis). I have had all the necessary scans and am waiting for my CCTA results. My cardiologist confirmed that I WILL need a AVR, but based on my recent calcium score test, he is suggesting another TEE in 6 months, rather than moving forward with a replacement now. My next appt with my cardiologist is 1/4/26. Question: after I receive my CCTA scan results and my cardiologist has had time to review everything is it appropriate to request that my cardiologist go ahead and send all of my imaging and his recommendations to a heart team for evaluation now rather than dragging this out for another 6+ months? I want to get my valve fixed and get on with my life.
