Dear All, The Dr. was pleased with my progress and said I needed to learn to rest more to prepare for starting cardiac rehab at the beginning of October. I am so looking forward to that so I can begin working on my strength and getting my muscles and six pack back!
Again, thank you for continuing to check in on me! We are so grateful! Love, Lynn

Dear All, I feel so loved by all of you. Thank you again for all your help during this journey. The thing I want most is to be the energizer bunny again and I am told I will just have to be more patient. All is healing well and now I can finally lift my left arm which gives me at least 100 more choices of something to wear other than button down shirts! Besides saving my life, the only other benefit of a pacemaker for me is that I never have to go into the airport security booth as I now have an ID which allows them only to \'wand\' me. As I am still limited to only walking until my next appointment on Sept. 13, I now must push myself to take another walk. Forever grateful for all your support, Lynn

Thank you all for your continued support--trust me that it really helps us. Thank you for reaching out to my Yanni. I now can confirm that heart valve replacement is easy, however, this pacemaker I now have has been a real setback for me. However, I know I need to stay here until I have no more symptoms. I can confirm that heart disease is hereditary and therefore I urge all of you to see if it runs in your family and get that checkup!
At least today I am dressed and no one thinks I am a patient except every nurse and doctor knows about my near death experience and I get extra loving care. As my Mom taught us, when the going gets tough--get dressed up/fix your hair and put your makeup on and you will feel better. Thank you all again, we love you all for your care and supporting words.

OK, so everything happens for a reason. Today I got ready to leave feeling better than ever with my all my life blood pressure back to 120/80. Even washed my hair, put a little makeup on and put on the exercise pants. Learned to do all in a very slow, relaxed manner resting in between. Again, one of my favorite nurses, Marissa came on duty and I asked her to unhook my wi-fi heart monitor so I could take a real shower and she said she never does until she has my papers all ready. So as I was relaxing with my East River View (feels like I\'m on a cruise) and reading I feel like an earthquake in my body and loud buzzers go off thanks to the heart monitor many came running as my heart stopped for over 8 sec. and a few min. later 4 secs. and they are shocked I did not faint. I am in good hands and not going anywhere today. Again thank you for all your wonderful notes and support. Prior to this event, I had just written Marissa up for her \'Star\' Service! Happy to be still hooked up and cared for! Will keep you posted.

Thank you again for all your emails. One thing did not change and that is I am a morning person. Yanni gave me the gift of Mertl again last night who is my angel jumping up for any of my movements. It is now 4 p.m.and I am not exactly perky after just taking my nap. They have removed \'my wires\'--don\'t even ask--but it feels soooo good. Also, I had a better night and slept my usual 6 hours until pain began. However, this has been my biggest day as at 5 a.m. was my last pain meds. The Drs. would not let me home today as they have been very thorough checking any issue I tell them about. My greatest pleasure these 2 days besides reading your messages, has been Yanni\'s chicken soup and his visit now. Lots of Love,Lynn

all your messages just make my day, especially from our daughter katina. i just take one day at a time as the night yanni has given me a private aide mertle for the past nights and it is one of the best gifts as it is normal to continue pain. anyway it helps me live up to my reputation as \'princess\'. i feel my battery in my body is wearing out so hope to write a little more each day. again i am so grateful for all the prayers and great encouragement from all. lots of love, lynn

Hi All. Just spoke to Yanni this morning and I thought I would give you an update on Lynn. Doctor’s told him the aortic valve had a lot of calcification. The replacement went very well. A nurse stayed with her all night in the ICU. The nurse said “You have a very funny wife”. We took the tubes out of her mouth and she would not stop talking. She is now resting and he is not sure how long she will be in the ICU. He was on his way to the hospital and will call me later to let me know how she is. Will keep you all posted as I hear. Gerrie

Hi All: My name is Gerrie Trapani and I am a friend of Lynn\'s. I told her I will keep everyone posted with her progress until she is able to. I just spoke to Lynn this morning (7-20-10 at 10:45am) and was very surprised to hear her voice on the telephone. She was waiting for them to take her in but learned that the operation now will be at 1:00 this afternoon. She said she was dying for a cup of coffee. And boy do I know what that is like. Sooooo I will continue to keep everyone posted as her husband lets me know. I know she is in everyone prayers. So Lynn – BIG KISSES FROM US ALL.

Dear All, Thank you so much for all the strength you have given us for my big day tomorrow. We really feel the love.
We are blessed to have friends like you. The lesson is to take care of yourself and make health your focus. When we have our health we can live the life we love. I am so looking forward to my new heart! In the next days, our dear friend Gerri T will be updating you on my actions and reactions in this journal. We appreciate that you are all there for us.We love all of you, Lynn (Miss Piggy) and Yanni
