I have my surgery scheduled for tomorrow and starting to get anxious about the whole process. I found out three days ago that I have three clogged arteries and it had been very overwhelming. I was really hoping stents would be enough but found out yesterday that I need OHS. Super nervous about the procedure and first few days after it.

Marie Myers I remember my anxiety over impending open heart surgery. I did finally ask my primary doc for anxiety meds, and he gave me some alprazolam .25mg. They really took the edge off and helped me get some sleep. Praying you have a smooth, successful surgery and rehab. Try to remember that , while this experience is a really big deal to us, these procedures are done every day, several times a day by these talented cardiac surgeons. As someone on this site said, Keep the faith, and trust the science! We will be looking for your posts when you are in recovery. If you have any last minute questions, please ask. Frank Giovanniello Joseph, mine went the same way, heart attack, then a 3 &1/2 day wait for a quad bypass. Smooth and easy. Afterwards, they said the faster I get up and walk, the faster I can go home. When I got home, I found this fantastic group. You may talk to spouse, family, & friends, but they don't understand. Everyone here knows and feels just like you. Prayers for you, remember, Smooth and Easy.
