I am new at this, Have been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Had only felt a little light headed which got me to the doctor after 3 weeks, Evidently the situation is serious with only limited activity. See the cardiologist Thursday for talk on heart cath and then the surgery. Just... Read more.

Hi Jane, welcome! I went from minor chest pain to mitral valve repair in less than 6 months so I can appreciate the shock, best to get it done sooner rather than later. I was so so glad to find this wonderful site, the people here are so supportive, informative... Read more.

Thanks Sophia, I now have heart cath on Monday and Carotid test on Wednesday. Will then meet with surgeon. Glad to get the ball rolling. So far all my tests are good just have a rocky aorta. Glad my primary care doctor caught it.
