Hello everyone, has anyone here had a successful pregnancy with a Mechanical valve? I had my Aortic Valve replaced in 2015 with a tissue valve, just recently found out my valve is going bad and it's time for reoperation. I will be having the Bentall Procedure done (I need my Aortic Root replaced due to an Anuerism) plus a new valve. I'm struggling to decide which valve to go with, Tissue or Mechanical. A tissue valve would mean 2 more additional surgeries but the ability to continue to build our family. A mechanical valve would hopefully last me my lifetime but pregnancy would be high risk. Has anyone ever been faced with this decision? Any insight and guidance to help me make my decision would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
