How hard it was to see the anxiety my husband was feeling. I was too, but trying to be strong. We had to be at the hospital at 5:30 and his pre- op didn't take very long so we had another long wait for a 8:30 surgery. The surgery started late , but was done in 3/12 hours. Hal came through it well. His doctor said his valve was very calcified and in bad shape. We were able to see him 1/12 hours after surgery and he was stable . Our next visit was 3hours later and he was somewhat alert , but vented so he couldn't talk . We were all thankful for a blessed outcome and getting Hal on the road to recovery .
