Donna Casaletto Yes, my blood pressure was on the low side as well as my oxygen. Due to the low numbers, I had to stay in the ICICU 2 nights. They bumped up my blood pressure with Midodrine. Now I’m on the beta blocker Toprol 25 mg 2x a day
Greg Lewis I did too, but it came up some. If you are on a beta blocker, I believe that brings it down.

Janelle Hurst I experienced this for quite a few months after surgery. It was frustrating because I often felt lightheaded/spacey, but eventually it went away. Apparently it is quite common.

Cheryl Mann I had low BP too - had to wait to start the beta blocker (metoprolol) until after I got home. And never did tolerate an ACE-inhibitor.That being said - the numbers you list confuse me. Perhaps one of them is actually your pulse or actually your average blood pressure (sometimes noted as MAP)?

Robert Miller I have not person experience but from all I read you can expect some 10-12 years. When you are young they need replacement earlier. Supposedly, that's because the immune system in younger patients is stronger and that causes the valve to fail earlier. Independent of age, I heard of failures after just a few years but also valves that lasted 15 years. I think it was my second surgeon that said he would choose a cow valve instead of a pig valve because the cow valves tend to last a bit longer. Again, all of this is just from what I read.
