anyone out there have had a second valve replaced. my first was a pig valve in 1/09 second a bovin in 11/15 i also had a acid implanted in3/16 because of a low <35 ejection fraction. and believe it or not i feel great (losing 25' my have helped) because of condition of first, when they re-moved it i will be on cuomidin they rest of my life i would say i am about 90% recovered. i had my second valve at St Lukes in milwaukee wi i found this hospital gave me excellent care. they second procedure was much easier on me and my family, because as i put it "this was my second rodeo"

just had my second aortic valve re-placed (after 6 yrs) this was much to short of time (it was a pig valve,. now i have a bovin) my question is , i was taking testostorone injections till about 3 months ago when a blood test showed a very high hemoglobin 19.3 the surgeon found blood clots and deposites on the old valve has anyone had anything similar. being this is my second rodeo , i am progressing very will. my advantage was i know what to to expect. my surgery was 11/13/15 at st lukes milwuakee doctor who is excellent was dr. Enrique K Dwight, 6 years for a pig valve is very short time. If you don't mind me asking why did you take testosterone injections? My surgeon recommended the porcine valve vs the bovine valve because it's more durable and it last longer. I asked him how long do they last 12-15 years but we have some patients with 20-25 year valves. Do you exercise a lot and eat a well balanced diet with lots of protein, fruits getting rid of processed and fried food. What about salt intake? Glad your surgery is over and wish you a speedy recovery.

dwight schlicting took testosterone injections due to low test. levels it was a unstented pig valve because of the deposites on my first valve they now want me to tale warafin the rest of my life(i have not had any trouble adjusting to this medicine)
