My 16 year old son had open heart surgery last December due to Anomolous Coronary Artery. During the re-implantation surgery they removed a flap of his aortic valve. Initially all was well, but now his valve is leaking severely and we learned he will need an other OHS. Devasating. We decided to go to Boston Childrens. Dr Baird will be performing his surgery on 10/29. Are there any parents of teens out there in a similar situation?

Jill Mullikin My 19 year old son just had surgery 5 weeks ago to repair severe regurgitation caused by a bicuspid aortic valve and an aortic aneurysm was also fixed at the same time. His surgery was done via mini sternotomy by Dr. Plestis at Lankenau just outside of Philadelphia.
