Hi, I am new here, first day :) I have been diagnosed with A-Fib, CHF and severe Mitral Valve Stenosis (a trifecta of heart disease) I am scheduled for Mitral Valve Replacement next month. Am I worried? Only my faith has me keeping that appt. Any advice, suggestions, etc from anyone who has had surgery for this same combination? Thank you in advance :)

Michelle E Hi Debra - you really hit the jackpot huh!? Well I'm pretty new myself but have found lots of encouragement through the patient blogs at this site. Very informative and really helps you not feel alone. Glad to hear that your surgery is only a month away - time enough to get ready without having to wait too long for the big day. Debra Owen Michelle E, Thank you for the kind response. I agree this site has been very informative. I am continuing to read as much as I can and it is uplifting to see all the success stories. I have had 3 other very different procedures all of which the recovery went badly so that part has me dreading this procedure’s recovery. I do hope your surgery and recovery go as painlessly as possible. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. My thoughts and prayers will be with you especially come Feb. :)
